A two-day course organized by the Hungarian National Group of ISCB,
presented by Stephen Senn (University of Glasgow), entitled Meta-analysis
for Drug Development will be held on 22-23 May 2007 in Budapest. The main
topics covered by this course are:
Introduction and history of meta-analysis
Regulatory aspects
Graphical methods
Fixed effects approaches
Random effects approaches
Case-studies
The course will include computer applications as well.
The course is intended for researchers from ISCB target countries, in
particular countries of Central and Eastern Europe as well as Third World
Countries. Due to the financial support of the ISCB the registration fee
is 40 Euros to cover costs of participation, printed handouts and coffee
breaks.

this course. The number of course participants is limited to 20-30
persons, so early booking is recommended. The course room is equipped with
a number of computers but (as this may not be enough) participants are
asked to bring their own laptop if possible.
