Applications are invited for this full-time, permanent post. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong research programme, to make a substantial contribution to the Department's teaching at all levels, and to contribute to its administration and outreach activities. Candidates must have a PhD (awarded), evidence of research and research potential, and experience of teaching/lecturing at University level. We expect to make an appointment at below the bar level, but for an exceptional candidate, with significant experience of both research and teaching, an appointment above the bar will be considered.
The Department runs full degree courses in both the Arts and Science Faculties and is a major contributor to the denominated degrees in Financial Mathematics and Economics and in Mathematical Science/Computer Science. It also runs service courses in the Science, Engineering, and Commerce Faculties. The Department has both taught and research Masters courses and an expanding PhD programme. Current research interests in the Department are in algebra, analysis, geometry, statistics, and topology.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to and strengthen research in the areas of analysis, geometry or topology.

Salary: EUR39,854 x 10 = EUR56,526 (Below the Bar)
