The Preservation of Wood Act, 23 Eliz 1, c.5 seems to be treated as a
public general Act and ought to be in any of the old editions of the
statutes at large. The problem is: where to find them. The biggest
public libraries might have them and so might the libraries of the larger
local Law Societies. The library of the Law Society in Chancery Lane would
certainly have them. But I think that these days you can get a photocopy
of almost any Act at all from the House of Lords Record Office. The
starting point is:
