Dear Colleague
As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be running the following workshops at the University of Manchester in June:
1. Effective e-Learning with Moodle, 19th June
-----------------------------------------------------
The Moodle learning environment is becoming increasingly popular in the UK education sector. It is free to use, having been developed through the Open Software model, and is designed using sound pedagogical principles. This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments. You will be given access to your own installation of Moodle for 4 weeks after this workshop.
2. Problem Based e-Learning, 20th June
-----------------------------------------------------
Fed up with passive, page turning e-learning? Engage your learners in active, dynamic, enquiry based e-learning by developing realistic problem solving activities that encourage the application of analytical, creative and critical thinking skills.
3. Mobile Learning: Education on Demand, 21st June
-----------------------------------------------------
Mobile Learning: the next stage of e-Learning, or a whole new learning experience? This workshop explores the principles and practice of m-Learning. It is for anyone who is interested in the application of mobile technologies in education, or those who simply wish to know more about the emerging technologies and potential uses.
4. e-Learning Essentials, 26th – 28th June
-----------------------------------------------------
This new course offers three days of training that will help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to create high-quality, pedagogically aligned e-Learning. Although intensive, the course is based on the informal and flexible approach that makes Netskills training so successful. It also provides an accelerated route to completing the Netskills/BTEC Professional Development Certificate in e-Learning.
