Working for a small or medium sized museum, library or archive and keen to draw in more audiences/ users? Then this is your opportunity to get to grips with all you need to know about marketing.
Organisations with little time and resources benefit most from a well thought through strategic marketing plan. You do not need a generous budget to be successful and it isn't very daunting either. Sign up for the Strategic Marketing Workshop organised by MLA London on Wednesday 9th May in the Geffrye Museum to discover what it is you need to do to ensure your target audiences know about you, come to visit you and tell others that they should do the same. You will go home with a first outline of a strategic marketing strategy for your own museum, library or archive and tools to get buy in at all levels in your organisation.
This one day course will help anyone wishing to take a more planned and strategic approach to their marketing activities. By the end of the day you will:
* Have been given an introduction to key marketing principles
* Understand the marketing mix
* Be able to creating a marketing strategy
* Make sure the lessons learned make a real difference back at work
The day's programme will consist of the following:
* Introduction to strategic marketing
* Marketing planning
* Marketing implementation
* Workshop: drawing up a strategy
* How gain support for your work
The workshop will be delivered by Hopkins Van Mil: Creative Connections, a consultancy with a strong track record in the sector for developing marketing, branding, advocacy, communications and fundraising strategies.
