I'm also happy to support Angus's initiative. Eithne had such wit, wisdom and courage; she did more for others in her life than most achieve in a full life-time. A recognition such as this would be really apposite.

Dear friends and colleagues
I am so sorry to have to tell you that Eithne McLaughlin died
yesterday
afternoon in hospital in Belfast. Eithne was taken ill suddenly on
Sunday
night, and her husband Pat says she died peacefully on Tuesday
afternoon.
This is desperately sad news and we will all miss her terribly.
