Thanks to Duncan for drawing attention to this. Maybe QSR will get NVivo7 to be almost as stable as N6 before they move on to NVivo8? I'm finding the periodic crashes a bit unsettling... Not yet ready to trust large or important projects to the software.

This is from a message posted to the QSR forum today, which means that there are some improvements for XP users too although it doesn't state what they all are:
"The fourth service pack for NVivo 7 will be released on Friday 16 March 2007.
