Subject: Re: [PSCI-COM] Film hosting for schools?
Dear Joanna,
I'm not an expert in this myself but I know a man who is! I am working on a project with a digital video artist, so I asked him if he could help.
Here is his reply:
"There are a number of video hosting sites out there the one I use is called Bliptv. It is a great resource as it will host Quicktime movies and convert files to flash too.It also has a great thumbnail gallery of your videos. The downside is that it is web 2.0 which means you can comment on other peoples work which schools don't really like - the other option is an old favorite and is where I store all my videos for posterity - Internet Archive through Ourmedia. You will need to create an account with the archive and then create another one with Ourmedia using that Internet Archive account - Hang on I think there is a video showing you how ....
http://www.freevlog.org/archive/03ourmedia.mov there we have it, and freevlog.org is a great place to learn more about hosting video on the net.
I hope that helps."
Regards,
Andy Sier
