Hi Bob,
There is certainly a large number of UK FEs using Moodle but many HEs
have made the switch to or are considering using Moodle. Apart from
Royal Holloway, Moodle is the VLE/LMS of choice at Glasgow, UCE,
Goldsmiths, Staffordshire, Bath, York and of course, the Open
University. I've also spoken with a number of people at other
instructions such as Loughborough, East Sussex and UCL about their very
real interest in it. Bristol and the Southampton Institute are also
looking at the system, as I'm sure are a few others.
I for one wouldn't make such a distinction between HE & FE in terms of
VLE/LMS choice.
Kind regards
Martin

Subject: Re: FW: [VLES] Moodle in HE
Well, if the responses to this question on this forum are anything to go
by there do not seem to be many HEIs using Moodle as their primary VLE.
I am considering taking my college down the Moodle road, but there is a
feeling in some quarters that Moodle is for FEIs and HEIs use
Blackboard/WebCT.
Any comments?
Thanks,
