Cannock Chase Mining Historical Society
Founded 2002
Hello list
Can anyone enlighten me on the following item,
Whilst researching the West Cannock Colliery book I have come across a
reference to the "Chalwest" rope controller.
This was patented in 1945 (approx) "and the West Cannock Company Ltd
agreed to pay half the patent fees".
In 1946 the company sold there half share in the controller back to Mr
Challenor for a nominal fee.
Any help would be appreciated
Best Regards
Alan Dean
