Dear List,
We seem to be getting a lot of these automatic replies and they're a bit annoying. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't particularly want to know whether someone is in their office or not - all I want are interesting and useful replies to my queries. Is there anything that can be done about it, or is this just something that we have to live with? I'm sure there must be some way of preventing particular email servers send automatic messages, especially to a discussion forum, to which the person concerned is not necessarily going to post a reply. I'm not getting at you Ian, just the technology!
