Thanks for your help, the mine obviously stayed with the same company into
the 19th Cent. I should have thought to have looked at Wharfdale as Peter
Wilson Overend was involved as well. It is useful to have the Bolton & Watt
conection confirmed.
As for Chimesty, I supose it could be just a name concocted to distinguish
it from Brass making grade Calamine. If it was to be used for ointment maybe
they hand picked it for its quality; therefore the duty that they paid was less
in recognition of the extra work. If it was then sent to a Chemist no doubt
Chimesty was logical.
