Postdoctoral Fellow, The Extended Mind in Early Modern England.
(Fixed-term, Full-time or Part-time).
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship based at the
University of Otago, New Zealand (17 months-2 years). The successful
candidate will join an interdisciplinary research team led by Professor
Evelyn Tribble (English, Otago) and Associate Professor John Sutton
(Philosophy, Macquarie University, Sydney).
The project, funded by the Royal Society of New Zealand’s Marsden Fund, brings together recent research in philosophy and cognitive science with literary and cultural history to explore the relationship between mind and world in early modern England.
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline (such as English, history, philosophy, history and philosophy of science, or a social science), and demonstrated research excellence in a relevant area of early modern studies.
