John Dillon kindly posted this to me off-list. Being a retired teacher, I
cannot stand to be the source of bad information :-)) "Lavatorium" is indeed
a "lavoir, lavatory" BUT...
"Your dictionary must have suffered a misprint. In Latin of any
period, the nominative/accusative plural of _lavatorium_ is
_lavatoria_. _lavatorio_ is the dative/ablative singular."
The "misprint" was in my brain.
