medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
"In Rome, S. erected a church, no longer extant, to St. Bibiana."
There is a Sta Bibiana in Rome very near Termini, closed, it seems, except
for services. Is this a different church? Or was the "no longer extant"
referring to the fact that Bernini almost completely redid it (Basilica
paleocristiana del IV° secolo, fu trasformata da Gianlorenzo Bernini tra il
1624 e il 1626.)?
