Library and Learning Services, Institute for Performing Arts Development
With growth of more than 50% to over 19,000 students in the last four years,
UEL is a dynamic, ground-breaking university rated in the top 10 modern
universities for research by The Guardian.
Library & Learning Services and the Institute for Performing Arts Development
have been funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) to create
a digital East London Theatre Archive as part of the JISC Digitisation
Programme. This exciting project is led by UEL with partners from the
heritage and arts sectors. The East London Theatre Archive will create an
invaluable database of performing arts resources, from playbills and
programmes to press cuttings and photographs.
We are looking for two new colleagues who share our creativity, ambition and
passion for equality and diversity. You will drive this dynamic project
forward, liaising with the JISC and the partners to ensure that all
milestones are met and that the project is a success.
PROJECT MANAGER
Ref: 56s2007
Salary in the range £31,494 to £34,999 p.a. inclusive
(subject to outcome of current job evaluation exercise)
Fixed-term until 28 February 2009
You will be a graduate with significant experience of managing successful
projects and be familiar with the digitisation field.
PROJECT OFFICER
Ref: 55s2007
Salary in the range £27,032 to £31,126 p.a. inclusive
Fixed-term until 28 February 2009
(subject to outcome of current job evaluation exercise)
Educated to A level standard or equivalent, degree desirable, you will have
experience of project work and awareness of the issues involved in
digitisation.
For both roles you will be an excellent communicator with the ability to
develop and maintain links with partners.
