Here in Libraries and Learning Resources at Nottingham Trent University, we
are currently investigating the provision of touch screen information
kiosks for our users.
We would be very interested in hearing from any other HE libraries that are
currently providing this type of information system and your opinions on
the value it may add to service.
We would be interested to know:
Which supplier you use and any comments regarding their service and the
reliability of their product
How many kiosks you have and their location in relation to other resources
and service points
The range and depth of information you display
If you have more than one kiosk, is the information tailored to its location
What are the usage statistics
Have the kiosks significantly reduced the number of routine queries
previously asked at service desks
Any other comments, advice or experiences regarding kiosks
