European Union Information, 23 April 2007, at Aslib, London
European Union information is an intensive one day course that will
introduce you to the European Union - its institutions, legislative acts and
how policy is made - and how to find out about its activities. There will
also be an examination of the practical information implications of 'better
regulation', and the ways that EU law is transposed and implemented in the
UK.

Reflecting the central role of the internet as a medium for finding about
the EU the course will highlight the key official and other websites for EU
information: this will include legislation and other policy-making
information, keeping up-to-date, policy information, contact information and
bibliographical sources.

There will be some hands-on time to allow you to examine the sites
demonstrated. The latest developments in this fast-moving area will always
be highlighted. Relevant print sources will also be mentioned, when
