Dear All
The high grade Precambrian of the Bamble sector, southern Norway,
features several small gabbroic intrusions:
< 1 km, Arendal gabbro, along road 418 from Arendal along the coast,
before the bridge to the island of Tromoy
< 1 km, Tromoy gabbro, on the island of the same name
0,5 x 0,5 km, Vestre Dale gabbro in the Froland community, chemically
zoned: troctolitic - olivine gabbro - ferrogabbro (see De Haas et al.
1992, Neues Jahrbuch fur Mineralogie, Monatshefte 221-240
about 0,5 x 2 km, Flosta gabbro, on the island with the same name,
with well developped igneous layering (see De Haas et al., 1993,
Proceedings of Royal Netherlands Academy of Science 96:389-410)
another small one, but I cannot remember the exact size, along the
coastal road 407 from Arendal to Grimstad
All the best,
Timo
