Lancaster University is running the second of its ESRC funded introductory
workshops on Training Researchers on Ethics and Ethical Practice in Social
Science Research.
The second of the three day induction training events is aimed at those
researchers who wish to increase their understanding of what constitutes
good ethical research in UK settings. Training will focus around
seminars/workshops, with informal discussions facilitated outside of the
formal sessions to encourage the development of a broad forum for exchange
of ideas. This will be held at Lancaster University from Monday 26th
March - Wednesday 28th March 2007 inclusive.
The event will be convened by a single member of the training team from
Lancaster University but delivered by all members of the team with
additional input from other experienced staff from across the University
where appropriate. Dr Jane Barratt, an invited external expert, will be
present on Day Two of the workshop to address issues of fraud and
misconduct in research.
