Greetings,
I am a new member ... currently doing some research on the UN Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) ...
I have been looking at various maps that show the geography of poverty,
illiteracy, gender inequality, child mortality .... and they all look
the same to me, i.e., sub-Saharan Africa is worst, Europe and North
America are best ....
Is there anything else that economic geography can contribute to analyze
the feasibility of attaining the MDGs? While I like to look at numbers,
my real interest is what difference will the MDGs make in the wellbeing
and human development of people.
I would be grateful for any suggestions or pointers.
Sincerely,
Luis
