Dear all,
You may be aware that we have had a Digital Classicist entry on
Wikipedia for a while now. We had a few problems last week and the
entry was taken off following a complaint that the text was too close
to that of the DC website/wiki and so read like an advert for DC as
well as allegedly being a possible copyright violation. We have had the
DC entry reinstated with some new text but it still needs to be
developed and edited further.
Wikipedia have a policy that you don't author your own entry in the
encyclopedia which means that DC administrators might be considered
inappropriate editors for the DC entry. All entries should have a
'neutral point of view'. So, we thought we would invite the rest of the
DC community to consider adding some content to or doing some editing
of our Wikipedia entry.
Similarly, if anyone wishes to do some editing on the DC wiki or add
some content please let us know and we'll set you up as an editor.
Best regards
Simon
