To members of the CLS mailing list,
If you recall we arranged a meeting in January to plan for this year's
CLS which we agreed should be in Glasgow. Unfortunately, this had to be
postponed for a number of reasons. I am now trying to reschedule this
meeting which has not been that easy given people's busy schedules. As a
starting point I have tried to ensure the availability of those CLS
supporters from Glasgow who agreed to help organise the conference.
Consequently, a planning meeting is being organised for Friday 16th
March at 15.00. The venue is Room 801a, in the Graham Hills and is
accessed either from 50 George Street or 50 Richmond Street. This is
only 5 minutes walk from Queen Street Station, 10 minutes from Central
Station and 7 minutes from Buchanan St. Bus Station. Follow the link
below for directions.

As is our democratic custom and practice this is an open meeting for
everyone to participate. Of course, it's relatively short notice and it
might be difficult for many to make it, but if you can make it would be
great.
Also, the agenda is relatively open. We did have a discussion in
Newcastle about some of the things we should focus on and these will be
fully considered. However, please communicate your suggestions for late
November 2007's event in Glasgow. If you email these to me we will place
them on the agenda for next week's meeting. We are hoping to hold the
event at the STUC premises. Dave Moxham (Asst. Gen. Sec) of STUC is
being invited to the planning meetings.
Finally, can you let me know if you are coming and need any assistance
with directions, accommodation etc. See my contact details below.
In solidarity,
Phil
