Hello,
There are two types of backups, *.xml.bac and *.xml.bak. The former are
created by the auto-backup mechanism (obtainable from the Project -->
Backup menu). (By default this is off.) The latter are created when you
try and save a project. So what happens is that when you save a project,
all the packages that have been modified since the previous save are newly
saved. But before any of them are saved the *.xml.bak files are created
just by renaming the *.xml files. This is in case exactly your situation
arises, where disk space runs out or the network dies (or whatever).
To recover with the *xml.bak files (the *.bac are similar) you need to
just rename them to *.xml. In your case this might just be Nmr.xml.bak
needing to be renamed to Nmr.xml, but it's possible one of the other *.xml
files got trashed at the same time (unlikely, but worth checking). So
check all the *.xml files in PROJECT_NAME/ccp/* and in PROJECT_NAME/ccpnmr
to see when they were last saved. If this was at the same time as Nmr.xml
then you probably need to rename the *.xml.bak files for them as well.
(Also to keep all the data consistent.) For you, the most likely file to
check other than Nmr.xml is PROJECT_NAME/ccpnmr/Analysis.xml. If you
have disk space I would tar gzip the PROJECT_NAME directory before you
do the renaming just to be safe.
