Dear all,
there is discussion as to the validity of the claims made
in this petition; see for example:

However, the fact that the PM's office is allowing the petition to run
on it's web site suggests to me that they're interested in gauging
public opinion on the matter.
Either way, whether you sign remains entirely up to you.
