Dear All
I am very happy to announce a new look website for Genesis. Originally
launched in 2002 to support research into Women's History and promote
sources within the UK Genesis continues to be maintained and developed by
The Women's Library.
Please visit Genesis at www.genesis.ac.uk
Genesis comprises:
* A Database with descriptions of women's history collections from museums,
libraries and archives in the United Kingdom
and
* A Guide to Sources that provides access to a wide range of national and
international web resources on women's history.
The Guide to Sources has been extensively updated and expanded.
London Metropolitan University has helped move the website to new software
that makes it easier for us to maintain the site. Professional colleagues
are encouraged to make suggestions re the content of the site. Please email
any comments to [log in to unmask]
We are currently investigating new software for the database. When
implemented we will be able to expand the number of collection entries in
the resource.
Best wishes for a Friday afternoon (it must be good news if IT has made me
smile!)
Teresa
