On 19 March the Glamorgan Record Office will receive 3 tenders for the design and build of a new
building. As part of the assessment of these tenders I will be running a series of consultation
groups looking at design quality in each of the buildings. Input from these groups will also be
fed back into the detailed design of the preferred building.
The assessment will use design quality indictors based around functionality, build quality and
impact. Participants will be sent copies of plans and relevant documents before the session. The
session will start with an introduction to the qualitative assessment process then a questionnaire
will be completed and aspects of each building discussed in detail.
