Role: Clinical Systems Report Programmer

A global biotechnology company has a permanent opening for a Report Programmer within their newly formed Clinical Data Management Systems reporting team.
The successful candidate will produce effective clinical database reports to be used in the support of their clinical trials. You'll also contribute to the continued development of our reporting environment through the adoption of new technologies and processes. Their diverse clinical study teams will also rely on your for assistance in the creation of report specifications as well as providing expert technical guidance to reporting problems.
The key activities of the role will centre on:
* Working with the users to understand and develop specific functional requirements for new reports.
* Conducting programming of clinical reports within CDM's reporting environment (Integrated Review, Cognos and supporting systems).
* Performing technical and quality review of clinical reports prior to their release to the business.
* Ensuring service continuity by performing ongoing maintenance activities of the reporting environment.
* Researching reporting problems and implementing timely solutions
* Providing expert support and guidance to report users, including training.
* Contributing to an improved CDM reporting environment through research and application of new innovative reporting solutions
* Act as a representative of the CDM Systems team and attend internal and external meetings.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of database or business Intelligence reporting. You'll be a competent programmer in SQL, SAS or a related skill set and be able to apply these skills to deliver reporting solutions to specific user requirements. Any experience of clinical database systems such as Clintrial, Oracle Clinical or supporting toolsets set such as Integrated Review, Brio or Cognos would definitely be advantageous. You'll need to be a team player, with experience of communicating and collaborating effectively in a business driven environment.
