The jist of the paper is that they used location data for
assaults and the CDRP bought pressure to bear on the
places which had the highest number of assaults. The
nightclubs with the highest rates of assaults dramatically
improved their act (OR 0.61) This shows how local ED data
can be used to reduce alcohol related violence. It is a
longitudinal 'before and after study', which for research
involving the criminal justice system is as strong as you
can ever get.
