Specialist in pedestrian modelling and design

of major transportation projects including Crossrail, East London Line and
Victoria Station Upgrade. In addition to our consultancy services we also
develop, market and support the STEPS pedestrian modelling software which
is now used worldwide for both emergency and normal operations design.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated specialist in
pedestrian modelling and design to provide expertise for Mott MacDonald
projects and to develop our specialist service offering in this area.
Candidates would be expected to have a background in transport planning,
civil engineering or related disciplines and should have significant direct
experience of applying pedestrian movement principles in a design or
operational environment. Candidates at both a senior or more junior level
will be considered, dependent upon experience, and the position offers
significant possibilities for career progression for the right individual.
Key requirements are:
* 2+ years experience, preferably in a consultancy environment
* Experience using pedestrian modelling software such as Pedroute or STEPS
* Aptitude/experience in developing consultancy business would be a strong
advantage
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong commercial awareness
The position is located in our head office in Croydon, south London, UK.
