Hi Nicola,
It depends on what format you want your SPSS graphs in, but I tend to keep
originals in the SPSS output file and paste into Word and Powerpoint as
bitmap picture files for presentations etc.
To do this, right-click your graph in SPSS and select export...
Select to Output: Charts only
Export What: selected chart only
Export format: Windows bitmap (*.bmp) - note: other formats take less
filespace but bmp quality is better if you resize the picture at any point
(although ideally you should get the size right in SPSS first)
The bitmap will be saved to the location you specify. In Word, go to
Insert, Picture, From file... and locate the bitmap.
To align two (or more) pictures, right click the inserted picture and
select Format Picture...
On the Position tab, select the Float over Text option. This will switch
you to Page Layout view and you can manually position your graphs where
you want them. If you have a play with the Lock anchor and Move with Text
options (right click to bring up their descriptions in What's this) you
can customise how the graphs move in the document when you add or delete
text etc.
Hope that helps,
