Here at Strathclyde University we have had self issue machines for some
time, but are hoping to increase their usage and develop the service. Would
anyone else be willing to share their experience? We're interested in
finding out how libraries have moved from a staffed service to self issue.
What was the timescale? Did you close service points? Did you relax
borrowing rules to facilitate the process? How were staff redeployed?
Answers to these questions and any other helpful information would be
gratefully received.
