There is an exhibition on sugar and the slave trade at Tate South Lambeth Library, 180 South Lambeth Road, London SW8 until Saturday 31st March.
Tomorrow, Friday 30th March at the library, from 6pm there will be a discussion evening:
"Sugar - where did the money go? Did Henry Tate, founder of this library, benefit from the slave trade?"
Speakers:
Arthur Torrington, Equiano Society
Esther Stanford, Rendezvous of Victory
All welcome. Food and drink available.
Buses 2 and 88 stop at the door. Nearest tube: Stockwell.
There will be a small display of Bicentenary information for the next few months.
