permanent, for a Global CRO based in the M4 Corridor.
Title: Analysis Programmer
GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides statistical programming support and validation of statistical
analyses, datasets, tables,
figures and listings. Provides statistical output for clinical study
reports.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Produces tables, listings, figures, and datasets to support the
analysis of clinical trials data
o Works closely with biostatisticians, clinical scientists, and medical
writers to establish
specifications for this output
o Performs billable work in accordance with client's policies,
procedures and standard
operating procedures (SOPs)
o Generates primary and derived secondary SAS(r) data sets. Identifies
inconsistencies or
problems in the database and reports findings to the appropriate
department
o Generates specifications and programs that produce data summaries
o Creates ad hoc programs to provide information to the project team
and/or client, as
required
o Writes, documents, and perform quality control review of programs
* Provides technical oversight and leadership in the areas of analysis
and reporting
o Serves as primary project team representative; delegates work as
appropriate
o Reviews reports for consistency between text and tables
o Supports sales presentations
o Serves as a resource for, and interacts with, other functional areas
to facilitate project
timelines
o Determines resource projections and project schedules with functional
management
guidance
o Ensures that staff fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with
company's policies,
procedures and SOPs
* Performs ongoing self-instruction of new computer system features, new
SAS(r) procedures and
techniques, and new methodologies in the pharmaceutical industry
o Trains and mentors new programmers
QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with high level programming languages, SAS(r) preferred
* Experience using computerized information systems required; experience
with PC-Windows and
WORD
* Experience in clinical trials or pharmaceutical industry preferred
