***Background
UKSOUNDTV.COM (UKS TV) is a youth run broadband channel, broadcasting
from Bow, East London. Looking at UK underground music, emergent
technology and local issues, UKS TV is the first broadband TV platform
managed, produced, directed and crewed by a team of young people. 

***Trainee Positions
We are looking for 8 trainees to work on the channel, focusing toward a
Bronze Arts Award accreditation. (This is part of the National
Qualifications Framework and is accredited by QCA. The Bronze is level
1). 

The Bronze Arts Award is a flexible qualification, which can be tailored
to suit the interests of individuals. The programme includes arts, media
and technology training and there is an opportunity for extended
involvement with UKS TV.

Specifically the programme will include:
*	Taking part in an arts/media activity
*	Going to arts + media events
*	Researching an artist 
*	Sharing skills/interests with the group by helping to run a
workshop, or performing /presenting to others.

***Trainees need to be:
*Age 16 - 25
*Unemployed or economically inactive
*Live in London (either based in East London or with links to the area)
*Interested in media, arts +/or technology

The training programme will start week beginning Feb 26th for four
weeks.  We can provide travel expenses.
Trainees will attend 6 days training and will also cover 15 hours of
independent research/learning on individual projects.
