RESEARCH ASSISTANT (GENDER AND INCAPACITY BENEFIT)
Grade 7 (£25,889 per annum)
Your main role will be to work on an ESRC-funded project entitled Geography and Gender: Understanding the Rising Number of Women on Incapacity Benefits. Your principal duty will be conducting and analysing qualitative interviews with female recipients of incapacity benefits and professionals administering the incapacity benefits system. In addition, the quantitative analysis of secondary datasets relating to the labour market, households and health will also be required.
You will have a good social science degree and experience of social research or similar. Good organisational and interpersonal skills and a willingness to acquire knowledge of secondary data sources are essential.
You will be based on the main University campus near Dundee city centre, although visits to up to six locations around the UK lasting around 10 days each will be required.
This is a full-time post, for eighteen months and is available immediately.
