Title: Internet for Social Welfare

Aimed at Social Welfare lecturers, practitioners or researchers, in further
or higher education, who want to extend their knowledge of the Internet, or
who teach Internet research skills to their students.
This FREE one day seminar, organised by Intute, as part of the ESRC Festival
of Social Science 2007, will provide practical ideas and materials to help
with teaching Internet searching, Internet research and website evaluation.
Lunch is included.
We will offer:
- An overview of the Web for Social Welfare research
- An insight into leading Internet services for this subject
- Hands-on sessions in an IT suite with help
- Worksheets and ideas to take away
- An opportunity to network with other Social Welfare
lecturers, practitioners, researchers, librarians or information providers
