(e.g., education measurement, health services research) required.
Specific technical skills required/preferred:
All research positions at RAND require excellent analytic skills, the
ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both orally
and in writing; the ability to work effectively as a member of a
multi-disciplinary team; and a strong commitment to RAND's core values
of quality and objectivity. In addition, senior research positions
require the ability to mentor and develop junior staff members, lead
and direct multi-disciplinary teams, as well as possess a strong
research record and demonstrated ability to obtain external funding.
Applicants should also possess the interpersonal skills to collaborate
with others in conducting research, writing grant proposals, and
preparing manuscripts for journal publication. All applicants should
have the capacity to develop a fundable research program.
* Expertise in advanced multivariate and scale development methods
(e.g., CFA, SEM, IRT, growth models, cross-lagged models, and multi-
level models) is preferred
* Substantive interest in clinical, social, or health psychology
is desirable.
