UK Stroke Forum Project Assistant
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: 17,089 to 21,264 per annum (subject to cost of living increase
after 1 April 2007)
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
Hosted by The Stroke Association, The UK Stroke Forum
(www.ukstrokeforum.org) was launched in 2006 as a coalition of
organisations committed to promoting multidisciplinary stroke research and
education. The UK Stroke Forum aims to provide educational events for
professionals working in stroke care and research, patients and carers. We
are now looking to recruit a Project Assistant, a position which will
appeal to someone keen to build on their experience in project or event
support.
As part of The Stroke Association’s Research Department your role will be
to support the planning and promotion of the UK Stroke Forum Conference, a
key national event attracting over 1,000 delegates. As an experienced
project assistant you will help to ensure the smooth running of the UK
Stroke Forum, acting as a key point for enquiries and updating the content
of its website. By working closely with the UK Stroke Forum Project
Officer, you will also assist with the planning, promotion and delivery of
further events and initiatives as directed by the UK Stroke Forum’s
committees.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, the
ability to deal professionally with a range of contacts and have an
interest in research.
