you make a good point Joseph, it's something I've often noticed
myself: that on receiving critique from someone on a poem of mine, I
feel as though I've already been aware of the things that are pointed
out, of the problems & deviations, & that all I actually needed was a
kick in the ass to sort them out. it may be that Mark helped you in a
lesser way than you'd thought; sounds like he certainly did, though.
as for me, it's less a matter of what I'd like to receive, but what
I'd like to give.
