I had my first son while still a teenager. We spent a few years living in
an "extended family" dwelling with my parents, my sister, my unmarried aunt
and my grandmother. We were worried that my son, who was learning to talk at
the time, would be confused by all the "moms" in one place. He sorted it out
just fine, though. I became "Little Mom," my mother became "Big Mom," my
sister and my aunt (who were both "Marge" ) also became "Big" and "Little."
35 years later the names still stick even tho I am now bigger than big mom
due to assorted growage and shrinkage and Big Marge has been dead for nearly 10
years.
