Dear Stephanie,
You mentioned about an organisation called (?)office-based ability .net. I
tried to search this on the internet but yielded no information. Could you
kindly let me have details of their website address.
Thank you

Hi James
Its sounds like they will be able to help you. If his job is office
based ability.net can help as well - though its costly at around £800
an assessment since i last recommend them - they may be quicker than
access to work.
In my experience they can help with taxi costs etc.. However the
employee may need copies of relevant reports from you to hasten the
process as it can be slow getting a disability advisor involved.
It doesnt necessarily need to be a long term issue, however, if his
employer can financially contribute to transports costs and other
resources to assist with a return to work they can often be receptive
to this. Have a chat with access to work i find them very helpful
when initiating a referral.
Good luck
Stephanie
