Hi
We do urine analysis for Chrome - I attended a HSE workshop on chrome in
2005 where they recommended at least annual urine analysis for chrome even
though the only test available at present is a test for chromium which
doesn't highlight exposure to hexavalent chrome and will pick up dietary
chromium (which may be high in those taking chromium supplements)

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Surveillance question
Hello
can I ask if anyone undertakes routine urinalysis for chrome? I've been
asked about this but can't find any reason to support it, as I understood
we can all have a small amount in our urine, and surely if there is an
amount of enough level to be concerned the internal health effects are
going to be substantial?
Does anyone have any information on this please? Is anyone doing
urinalysis for chrome??
regards
Glenn
