Thank you for all the suggestions and comments. They have been helpful.
This is still rolling on with another follow up meeting with the
employee this afternoon. This to hear about the latest period off sick.
I agree that to finish this once and for all we should have used a PI.
Sadly HR has been very wimpish about this as it is new to them. However
the Dept. Manager had IT scan this mans PC and has found sufficient
material to show that he was ordering parts for his plumbing business
during work time. We are all allowed to use our PCs for personal things
during lunch and at the end of the day but this is more than that. I do
not know why they are waiting to swing the axe but HR say we should wait
to see if he comes back to work before his wedding or goes off to S
Africa whilst sick. I will keep you all posted, it's a bit like the
Archers! But without the sex!
On a related but separate issue does anyone have a risk assessment form
for work related stress that I could use please? I have looked at the
'HSE Indicator Tool- Question by Question' but would that be OK or is
there something more appropriate. I thought there had been something
last year but can't find it in the Jisc archives.
