Dear all
Following on from last weeks discussion about employing people of a
certrain height range for specific jobs - What are the lists views
on 'weight issues' related to employment? ie do you think OH should be
asking to see people who may be over a certain weight (don't ask me what
the marker would be!)to assess if they are capable to do that role? If you
do - what marker would you set ?(i know that this is dependent on what the
activities of the role are!)
If you don't think OH should be assessing this sort of remit- why not?
Does anybody know where I could find evidence regarding employment law /
weight issues
What are other peoples views on BMI in relation to weight screning?
Do you think this is more of a role for a manager at interview to
highlight to the individual about capabilities to undertake a role due to
their size and refer to OH if required at this point rather than OH
screening requesting to see someone as a result of their paper screen?
appreciate any views
Thanks
Hilary
