Hello,
Following the recent news release regarding the BFI's exciting new
partnership with Hewlett-Packard to create the Mediatheque at BFI
Southbank (providing technology to allow visitors to choose from
initially hundreds and eventually thousands of films and TV programmes
that have never or rarely been seen since they were originally made) I
wondered if others had images they'd be willing to share of existing
purpose-built 'multi-media centres' which enable the public to explore
extensive collections/archives; this may be within a gallery setting.
A trawl through existing websites didn't come up with any images of such
facilities, though having visited a number I know they exist! (e.g.
Micro Gallery at the National Gallery.)
Many thanks in advance. I'm happy to circulate findings to the list if
people are interested.
Jude.
