I'm grateful to one of our readers who pointed out that merchants/skippers
are searchable at
http://www.gemeentearchief.rotterdam.nl/content/
then
"archives and collections" third box down
then
"notarial deeds" third box down
then "search"
then enter "Dundee/Glasgow/London/etc" in "Zoekwoord 1" without any other
entries
then hit search button "Zoeken"
then trawl through entries like testament 30/04/1630
"Jan of John Sanders, Schotsman van Dondy, dienend als maetroos bij capiteyn
Jan Jacob..."
