CORPORATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: THE COST-EFFICIENT INTERFACE
27 March & 25 April 2007, London
Corporate library information staff work in very constrained circumstances with high cost efficiency demands placed upon them. Often the people they deliver services to have financial profit or cost targets which they must meet and they will be reluctant to incur the cost of library and information service charges unless it adds to their effectiveness in terms of customer impact in cost efficient ways.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
This two day course course will help participants to make the case for using library and information professionals as cost efficient and cost reducing support, which will leave the professionals they support free to generate income in other ways. This course will explore the costs and benefits of corporate library information managers undertaking
· mediated searches
· document delivery
· information literacy and user information development
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Those working in a corporate information environment with responsibility for costing the service.
COURSE LEADER: LARRAINE COOPER
