This is a bit of a pain! Hopefully, others will have ideas.
What I have done is textword search for words that may come up in the
address/affiliation field, (UK is probably the main one to try). You
can add in some big cities, the individual countries etc. There is the
problem that an author in Australia may have published a research
article that was based in Birmingham (say), which might be missed.
I would also search for "great Britain" as an index term. It is never a
major descriptor, so don't limit it to that.
But I hope that you find something better!!

Subject: PubMed search strategy query
Hello
A user has asked if a "gold standard" search strategy exists for
retrieving UK research papers from PubMed, i.e. research derived from
the UK - not just published in UK journals. As this is outside my area
of expertise I am hoping that someone can help - apologies if there is a
very obvious answer to this question.
Regards
Sandra
