Many thanks, Richard, for passing this on. This message doesn't seem to have been put on LIS-MEDICAL.
The NLH is communicating that it cannot communicate! (Fill in you own retort - I couldn't possibly comment).
"The negotiation with the CLA is NOT an NLH negotiation." Well, it was, so who has taken it over? According to the update it's "the NHS".
Sorry, I thought we were all part of the NHS. It should say someone in the NHS who is not in the NLH. Why can't we be told who it is? Not librarians, presumably.
"As soon as we are able to comment further information will be cascaded via SHA Library Leeds." Why bother cascading? The NHS copyright issue affects all NHS librarians, so just stick it on LIS-MEDICAL and other relevant lists.
Gordon.

PLEASE FIND BELOW A MESSAGE FROM COLIN DAVIES
As requested by the NLH Coordinating Group and authorised by Muir I have
updated the copyright communications on the 'for librarians' pages.
http://www.library.nhs.uk/forlibrarians/copyright
I appreciated the frustration of the library community and others
regarding
the communication of copyright (evidenced on LIS Medical). I would like
to
assure everyone that we communicate as soon as we are authorised to do
so.
The negotiation with CLA is NOT an NLH negotiation. We are happy to
received
specific questions, but we can not part-take in an open email discussion
and
we are not able to provide detail of the negotiation.
With regards
Colin
